Launched in 2008, DISCOP AFRICA has grown to become Africa's #1 trade-event for TV content-driven businesses acros Africa.
DISCOP AFRICA's next edition (31 Oct - 2 Nov, 2012) will take place at the SANDTON CONVENTION CENTER in Johannesburg, South Africa, one of Africa’s leading and most prestigious exhibition and convention center, situated in close proximity and walking distance from a wide selection of hotels.
The 3-day market will bring together 175 international exhibitors and 750 VISITORS representing mostly African TV stations, Pay-Tv platforms, IPTV 0perators, Mobile networks and Territorial distributors.
In parallel with the 3-day market, a line-up of training, networking and informative sessions will appeal to an enlarged spectrum of professionals involved in content-driven industries across Africa such as independent content producers, advertising, creative, marketing, branding and media-buying specialists, advertisers, brand licensors, direct marketers, merchandisers and retailers, sports federations, leagues, promoters and arenas; broadcasting solution providers, etc..
The conference program will also include pitching sessions showcasing TV Formats, Documentaries and Comedy Concepts Made in Africa and to be conducted in front of an international group of A-list development, creative, production and programming executives.

The 3-day DISCOP AFRICA 2012 market itself will take place in a 2900M2 / 30,000 Sq. Feet exhibition hall where close to 175 International suppliers of films, TV series, formats, sports and live events, documentaries, animation and thematic cable channels will be showcasing their latest content to African Broadcasters, thematic cable channels, Pay-Tv and mobile operators, alternative content distribution platforms, independent distributors, closed circuit networks, territorial agents and airlines.
