Weather in Dakar is very pleasant in February, with temperatures varying around 22°Celsius (72° Fahrenheit).

The official languages of the market will be French and English.
 
Currency and credit cards
The currency of Senegal is the franc CFA. It is pegged to the euro, with 1 EUR = 655,95 FCFA.(1 USD = 443.67 FCFA; 1 GBP = 824.58 FCFA ) Credit cards are generally accepted in hotels and banks.
Time Difference
Senegal is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
Formalities for entry in Senegal

Visitors to Senegal must possess a valid passport. Citizens of member countries of the European Union, ECOWAS countries, Israel, Japan, Taiwan, the United States, Canada,  and some North African countries do not need a visa to enter Senegal.

Citizens of other countries must consult their local embassy, consulate, or other representative institution of Senegal to obtain a visa.

It is necessary to ensure that your healthcare coverage is extended for your stay in Senegal.  Be advised that your health record booklet should be updated and is required for your entry to Senegal.

Obligatory vaccinations

The Yellow Fever vaccination is again obligatory for entry to Senegal. Also, as the risk to health will vary between individuals, please, consult your General Practitioner who will assess your particular health risks before recommending vaccines and /or antimalarial tablets.
