Global TV operator SPI International/FILMBOX has announced it signed an agreement with Anttention Media Africa’s digital video and audio streaming platform “VeeTee” to deliver eight 24/7 Mobile TV channels and a VOD service to MTN, Africa’s leading telecommunications company through their sister company Edentek.

VeeTee’s mobile TV service now offers the following eight channels from SPI’s worldwide portfolio: FilmBox Africa with movies and TV series, FilmBox Art House featuring independent and classic films, DocuBox featuring documentaries on nature and human civilization, FashionBox devoted to fashion trends and shopping, FightBox – a 24/7 combat sports channel, Fast&FunBox with extreme sports programming, 360TuneBox – an international music network and Gametoon, a brand new e-gaming channel addressed to millennials.

In addition to live TV channels VeeTee now also provides MTN customers with access to FilmBox OnDemand which allows users to watch hundreds of movies, popular TV series and various sports, music and lifestyle videos whenever and wherever they want.

“The launch of FilmBox channels on VeeTee’s Mobile TV services is a major milestone for SPI’s African strategy. We are excited to see our audience grow in Nigeria thanks to the cooperation with Anttention Media Africa Limited,” said Amit Karni, Head of Distribution Africa.

“This is a victory for the general African digital landscape because mobile streaming for thematic channels is here to stay and with it comes the unbundling of other amazing opportunities aimed at solving Africa’s foremost need for ‘Positive Empowerment’” - stated Temple Obike, Founder/CEO Edentek Group.
